Mr Geoff Willis (Executive Chair)

Geoff Willis has a commercial and industrial background and has undertaken a number of senior leadership roles during the past decade.

Mr Willis is the Executive Chair of Tasmania’s Water and Sewerage Corporations. These four corporations will take responsibility for the reform of Tasmania’s water and sewerage industry with effect from 1 July 2009.

Mr Willis is the Chairman of Colorpak Limited, an ASX listed public company which specialises in packaging for the pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industries.

Mr Willis is also the Chairman of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and a Trustee of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

Mr Willis was the Chief Executive Officer of the Hydro-Electric Corporation, Tasmania's state-owned electricity generation business from March 1999 until July 2006. In this capacity he also had a leadership role in a number of the Energy sector’s industry and regulatory bodies. Prior to this Mr Willis was a member of the Amcor Limited senior management team from 1982 until 1998 and was Managing Director of the Amcor Paper Group from 1995-1998.

Mr Willis holds B.Comm and MBA from University of Melbourne and he attended the Stanford Executive Programme. He is a Certified Practicing Accountant, a member of the Institute of Company Directors and a Companion of the Australian Institute of Engineers.

Mr Willis is 60 years of age and lives in Sandy Bay, Tasmania and he and Mrs Vicki Willis have four daughters.
