Owner representatives
Many people have played an important part in establishing Ben Lomond Water. Under the Water and Sewerage Corporations Act 2008, the council owners of the three new Water Corporations are required to appoint three Owners’ Representatives for each business. The three Owners’ Representatives for Ben Lomond Water are:
- Mr Laurence Archer
- Mr Paul Ranson
- Mr Peter Kearney, Dep Mayor West Tamar
The role of the Owners’ Representatives is to make and implement decisions on behalf of the members of the Regional Corporations, including the selection and appointment of directors, and act as liaison with council owners.
The Owner Representatives ensure that the interests of each of the council owners’ communities are protected. They also provide for a continuous link between the new businesses and the communities they serve.
