Building and Plumbing

A Certificate of Certifiable Work (Building) or (Plumbing) from a Regulated Entity (Ben Lomond Water) is a new requirement for applicants applying for a building or plumbing permit. This new requirement means the owner or their agent may also have to provide a Certificate of Certifiable Work under the Water and Sewerage Industry Act 2008 when applying for a building or plumbing permit from a Permit Authority.

The applicant or their agent is responsible for determining if a Certificate of Certifiable Work (Building) or (Plumbing) is required from a Regulated Entity (Ben Lomond Water) when applying for a building or plumbing permit with the Permit Authority. To determine if a Certificate of Certifiable Work (Building) or (Plumbing) is required the applicant or their agent must complete the Building and Plumbing Application Exemptions Form in accordance with the Water and Sewerage Industry Amendment Act 2008 Section 56TF (1) Building and Plumbing works.

If the applicant answers “Yes” to any question on the Policy Exemptions Form, then a referral is required and the applicant will need to apply to a Regulated Entity (Ben Lomond Water) for an Application for Certificate of Certifiable Work  (Building) or (Plumbing).
