Who are our customers?
Customers of Ben Lomond Water fall into one of four categories: Residential, Industrial/Commercial, Wayside and Irrigation Customers.
Our customers are the residents of the eight northern Tasmanian councils including, Break O’Day, Dorset, Flinders, George Town, Launceston City, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands and West Tamar Councils.
Residential customers
A residential or domestic customer is a customer who was previously serviced by a council water supply or sewerage system.
Industrial customers
Industrial/commercial customers are all non residential customers.
Wayside customers
A wayside customer is a customer that cannot be serviced by an existing reticulation line but can be provided with a water supply direct from a Ben Lomond Water trunk pipeline. Most wayside customers will be domestic customers.
Irrigators
Irrigators who were formerly customers of Esk Water will continue to be provided with irrigation water by Ben Lomond Water.
